HIGHLIGHTED UPCOMING EVENTS

  • April 28 + 29: Grade 3 + 5 Math State Exams

  • April 30 + May 1: Grade 4 Math State Exams

UPDATE a/o April 30:
We are happy to report that New York State has assured us that the recent connectivity issues have been resolved and that testing can resume. Students whose testing experience was disrupted will resume testing where they left off; those who had trouble logging in will start at the beginning of the exam. The test is untimed, so all students will have as much time as they need within the school day to complete the exam. The administration window for makeup exams runs through May 15th.

Students in Grades 3 and 5 will resume NYS Math testing tomorrow, Friday, May 1.

Grade 4 students will take the NYS Math Exam on Monday, May 4 and Wednesday, May 6.

Please note that not all parent-teacher conferences and testing dates seen on the DOE Public Schools Calendar or 2025-26 School Year apply to PS20 specifically, as those calendars cover upper grades and there can be multiple dates for the same activity staggered across schools.

OVERVIEW OF Monthly EVENTS

  • School and Families Meeting (aka PTA General Meeting) - usually scheduled every 3rd Thursday of the month in the evening over Zoom (subject to change if there are conflicts with DOE breaks, or if held as an in-person/hybrid meeting)

  • Families as Learning Partners - usually scheduled every 3rd Friday of the month in person in the classroom (subject to change if there are conflicts with DOE breaks, individual classroom schedules, etc)

  • SLT Meeting - usually scheduled the last Monday* of every school month at 5pm via Zoom

  • School-hosted events such as Chat’n’ Chew with Principal, Technology Tuesdays, etc.

  • Committee-hosted events such as Movie Nights, Heritage Celebrations, etc.
