PS 20 PTA is looking for multiple Full-Time and Part-Time PTA School Assistants to support the incredible PTA programs and school community at PS 20.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: PTA School Assistants provide essential support for PTA Programs across PS 20, including providing assistance where needed to PS 20 administration, teachers, and staff in the cafeteria, playground, entrances, exits, and hallways during the school day and as directed by the School Administrative staff.
SCHEDULE: Candidates must commit to an ongoing schedule. Priority will be given to candidates who can commit to a full time schedule. Full-day and lunch time shifts are available: 8am β 3pm or 10am β 2pm.
APPLICATIONS: Applications accepted in-person in the school office and by email to Board@ps20.org. Please include all hours you are available to work in your application.
DEADLINE: Positions are open until filled. All final interviews will be conducted in-person.

Our very first PTA General (that means you!) Membership Meeting is next Thursday, September 21 from 6:00-8:00pm on Zoom (check Konstella for link).
PTA meetings are an opportunity to learn about what is going on at PS20, where families can ask administration and the PTA Board any questions you have, share ideas and opinions on various matters, and learn how to get involved.
We will aim to circulate a draft agenda prior to the meeting and if you have any questions or items you want to make sure are covered on the agenda, please feel free to email board@ps20.org or connect here.
3K through Grade 5 families are invited to meet and discuss the curriculum for their childβs grade for the 2023-2024 school year. Your child's teacher will provide you with the zoom link for curriculum night.

Dear PS 20 Community,
I hope that everyone is enjoying the last weeks of summer.
I am reaching out to inform you that Principal Lena Barbera Johnson will be retiring as Principal of PS 20, The Clinton Hill School, effective August 31st.
On behalf of District 13, we congratulate Principal Johnson on her many years of service in the Department of Education and thank her for her leadership and commitment to our students and families.
I am excited to announce Nicole Blyden as the new Interim Acting Principal of PS 20, effective September 1, 2023. Ms. Blyden joined the PS 20 Community in 2016 as the Assistant Principal. Throughout her time at the school, Ms. Blyden has been able to develop collaborative relationships with staff, students and families. I look forward to seeing the amazing work at PS 20 continuing under Ms. Blydenβs guidance and leadership.
