Admissions for Pre-K
In New York City, children begin pre-K in the calendar year they turn four.
Initial offers are made by the NYC Department of Education and not PS20.
The Pre-K application period for the 2025-26 school year will open January 15th. We are a participant in the Diversity in Admissions initiative that sets aside 40% of the seats for low-income families or those in temporary housing.
